The Bowling and Indoor Games Club is one of the original constituent clubs of the Upton Victory Hall. As such, it benefits (amongst other things) from the shared services of a full time groundsman who has created a green which is widely recognized as, arguably, the finest in the area – a view shared by existing members and visiting teams alike. Floodlighting is available when required and there is a covered viewing area. The green will be open in 2009 from March to October.

In addition to the green, there is a pavilion with bar and kitchen facilities, and a limited outside covered viewing area.

The Club has a very active programme embracing social bowls, a hectic League match schedule, and also several in-house competitions. Currently, two teams play in each of the evening Birkenhead and Bebington Leagues, and one team in the North Wirral League. Additionally, three teams participate in the Birkenhead Afternoon League. The number of matches to be played ensures that anyone interested in team playing is assured of opportunities.

The Club is always looking for new members, both men and women, with all levels of ability catered for. For those interested in applying for membership contact any of the officials above for the relevant application form which details the various categories of membership, including snooker, and the subscriptions currently applying. Please note that “full playing” members have automatic access to the snooker facilities (in the main hall).
